There are many companies offering tandem jumps, how should I choose?
There are certainly many companies with years of experience offering professional services. However, there are not as many professional companies out there making their living by skydiving. They can advertise and claim various licences on the internet. You should request to see those licences e.g. „ Certification of the Parachute School no. xy“ issued by Aeroclub CZ, they also must have Trade Certificate permitting to provide P.E. and sport services in a skydiving industry. It is a mark of quality to be USPA licence holder. Only 1 company in Czech Republic is a holder of USPA licence (see official USPA site) and that is us, Sky Service. Another important aspect is that there is only 1 operator at the airport (drop zone) – e.g. Pribram DZ has only 1 operator covering all services: skydiving and packing services, provides aircrafts, manages accommodation etc. Should another company offer the same services in Pribram, it’s highly non ethical! These companies are only buying the flying tickets from us.

How long in advance do I need to book my jump?
We recommend 4-5 days prior to your jump. Always book the day and time when you want to jump. You can book your jump a day before, but you might not be able to choose the exact time of your jump. Should you choose to jump between June and September, we recommend to book at least 1 week in advance.

When can I do my tandem jump?
You can jump your tandem from March to November any Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
From April to October you can also jump on Fridays and from May till the end of October you can even jump on Wednesdays.

What is the validity of the gift voucher? Can I extend it?
In fact each issued voucher has an open validity i.e. until its value is used. Upon expiration, the voucher is automatically extended, you don’t need to request it. The expiry date on the voucher is there to prevent postponing it for too long.

Is it possible to return the voucher? I.E. In case of an unwanted gift?
In case of an unwanted gift, please call our Customer Service line on 724 002 002 and we will offer you 2 options. Firstly you can use your voucher for a sightseeing flight of the value on the voucher. However, if this option is not feasible, we will cancel the voucher and refund you the money, which will be paid to your bank account. The cancellation fee is 100 Kč.

Do I need to pay for the whole value of the jump in advance? How do I know I won’t loose my money?
You don’t have to pay for the jump in advance. Should you choose to do so (incl. deposit) or a gift voucher, the jump will be cheaper.

Is it possible to purchase a gift voucher for only tandem jump and buy the videofootage of the jump additionally?
Yes. You can choose to buy additional video footage when you arrive to the airport before your jump.

What shall I wear?
We will provide all equipment including the clothing i.e Jumpsuit, goggles (or special goggles to cover your glasses), gloves if the weather is cold. You just need to wear your own shoes. Shoes should fit well so they do not come off during the freefall. You don’t need to wear sport shoes, because you won’t be landing on your feet ( you will extend your legs in front of you) and the tandem pilot will land you on the ground.

How long does it last and when do I need to arrive?
We recommend that you arrive at the drop zone at least 30 minutes before your jump is due (you can arrive earlier, you won’t be bored. You can witness other tandem jumps, aircrafts taking off and landing, you can have a bite to eat in our restaurant and watch various types of skydives and tandem jumps on our flat screen).
The briefing before the jump takes approximately 15 minutes after which you will board the aircraft that will take you to 4000m (13 000ft) in 15-20 minutes, exit the plane and freefall for 50 seconds. At 1500m (5000ft) the tandem pilot will deploy the canopy on which you will fly for 6-10 minutes and land. You will then take off your harness and jumpsuit, pick up your certificate and a tandem t-shirt, our gift to you. If you ordered a video footage of the jump, you then wait for the cameraman to complete the download or you can leave and he will post it to you.

I did my tandem in Příbram and didn’t receive the T-shirt unlike others. Do I have to request it as a customer?
Tandem t-shirt is ALWAYS given to every tandem passenger who jumps with Sky Service. On the completion of the jump you receive a certificate and a t-shirt at the same time. However, if you book your jump in Příbram with “another company”, you cannot request a t-shirt from us.

Shall I be scarred? Is it dangerous?
It only depends on you. We guarantee your safety. The jump is definitely safer than your journey to the airport and back. We only use the latest parachute systems, regularly buy new canopies, our parachutes are equipped with Cypress, Automatic Activation Device (AAD), our tandem pilots are professionals (it’s not only their full time job, they’re also professional sportsmen in skydiving), due to the quantity and quality of our tandem jumps and our customer service we are ranked as Number 1 in Czech Republic.
